Equipment has more lightweight and ergonomic pistol
Fibermaq, a Brazilian company in equipment for composites molding, is presenting the Evolution gelcoat machine. The equipment has a new pistol, which is lighter and more ergonomic than the previous model. Besides, it is much more easier to perform any kind of maintenance.
Other highlight of Evolution gelcoat machine include safety improvement: it has no apparent moving parts.
“We install a metal box that protects the operator from contact with various components,” said Christian de Andrade, director of Fibermaq. Other differences are the greatest strength of the peroxide pump, totally made of stainless steel and with no plastic parts, and the presence of a passing display, accessory that alerts the operator of the lack of peroxide in the packaging or when there is some kind of obstruction in the line.
With external mixing of resin and peroxide, Fibermaq´s equipment also has a unique fixing system of the pneumatic piston to the resin pump, which provides more space for maintenance.
“We have developed a new type of connection axes that increases the seal protection, prolonging their useful life.”
RTM Evolution with NR-12 certification
Fibermaq will also announce at Interplast the recent conquest of NR-12 certification for the injection machine RTM Evolution. “We were the first company in our industry to achieve this certification,” said Andrade. A standard of the Brazilian Ministry of Labor that intended to increase the safety of operators of various types of machinery, NR-12 determines that any danger zones, such as openings and passageways, must be enclosed. It also requires the installation of protections or fairings that prevent the operator’s access to moving parts, such as gears, pulleys, belts and motors.
Founded in 1978, in the city of São Paulo, Fibermaq is a pioneer in the manufacture of equipment for molding composites, epoxy and adhesives in general. During this period, more than 5,000 spray-up machines, gelcoat application, RTM injection and filament winding machines, among others, were sold by the company in Brazil and throughout Latin America.
In 2015, Fibermaq was elected for the fourth consecutive time the Top of Mind of the Composites Industry in the category “Equipment” – organized by the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO), it is the industry’s main award.
